A program of Community Care Network, Rutland County Head Start promotes school readiness for low-income 3-5 year old children by enhancing their social and emotional development through high quality, comprehensive programming in early education, health and mental health support, social services, and parent involvement.
Our services are available at centers in Rutland, Vermont and in collaboration with local school districts. Rutland County Head Start provides a safe, nurturing environment for 146 children and empowers families to utilize community resources to achieve individual and family goals.
Rutland County Head Start is accredited by the National Association for
the Education of Young Children and has a 5-STARS designation from
the Vermont Child Development Division
