Rutland County Head Start prepares children for a successful school experience through comprehensive, integrated, family-centered services in a safe, nurturing environment.
Our Head Start program emphasizes the individual needs of each child in our care, and celebrates the unique ethnic and cultural characteristics of all.
Programs & Services
Children who participate in Head Start programs receive innumerable benefits. At an early age, they acquired a life-long love of learning, school readiness, socialization skills, and school readiness. These advantages appear immediately, last a lifetime, and even have an effect on other generations.

Why Head Start?
We structure our programs around fun in education while providing a safe and respectful environment that encourages socialization and participation in field trips, outdoor classrooms and introductions to gardening & nutrition, and even a music program.
